Health is precious

Dear sisters ... thank you for your kind concerns. I'd tried to drop a few words so many times but my condition has prevented me from doing so. Today, I am supposed to watch Untold Scandal on the big screen with some Bae sisters, but of course I have to give up the chance of seeing Won-nim, sob sob :(

I drag going to a doctor unless I am really really sick and I think this time my condition warrants a visit. I went down to the usual old doctor in my residence with no makeup, no nail polish, hair loosely tied; looking appropriately like a sick patient. As the nurse ushered me into the doctor's office, WOW! you mean my 'doctor on duty' is this movie-star handsome man?! While I complain there's no good looking men in Japan, but understandably my biased eyes are already blocked by HRH and nobody can measure up :) But this handsome doctor in front of me has the perfect features of Kimura Takuya (木村拓哉) and the elegance and sensibility of Fukuyama Masaharu (福山雅治) @@!

Fukuyama Masaharu

Sigh, but I was really in no mood to admire a handsome guy at that moment. My head was spinning like a 'Spiral Octopus' ride and pounding like a Taiko Drum. I expressed to my sensei that I worried I might have suffered from a mild stroke last week and he comforted me saying, "I am a neurosurgeon, maybe I can do a few checks for you now?" OK, that's it, I'm sold! A Fukuyama/Kimura blend, a neurosurgeon and speaks English!! Hehe, I think I got my compensation back for not being able to see Yonsama in Untold Scandal today :)

Kimura Takuya
He proceeded to ask me to follow him in performing a few basic motor skills with my arms, hands and eyes co-ordination. I followed clumsily not only because I felt conscious of my 'awful' appearance, it's also because I really have a problem responding promptly now. Then he asked me to look into his eyes to check my eyes' movements, um hm .... with a pair of eyes so intelligent and sincere, I felt I was in good hands already. The good news is he does not think I had a stroke, he diagnosed it as Ear Imbalance. No no, he's not saying I have one ear bigger than the other, it's the hormonal imbalance.

It'll be a slow and gradual treatment and I still feel very weak and painful every day. To be honest, I am a bit sad and scared, with my already-not-very-brilliant mind, I was already pushing my own limit to learn the Japanese language, culture and everything new. Now with my thought process and motor skills being slower, what if I cannot write anymore? I still want to learn, draw and write so much, never in a million years that I thought this could happen to me! As my doctor told me, this takes time and I will have to be patient. Well, I laughed when my husband joked with me about the handsome doctor saying, "looks like you'll be sick a lot more often now" but deep down in my heart, I really rather not see him again :)

Hehe, no post is complete without our super gorgeous prince of course. These are the Faceshop postcard pictures. I am sure most of us feel our Yonsama looks a bit too beautiful in these shots. Wonder what he himself thinks?? Please take care :)

Dear Jaime and Bae Sisters:
I would like to bear witness that in all of my sixty four years of life, this is the year that I received the most number of birthday greetings. God loves me.
We spent the last week of March attending a miracle healing session with Fr. Fernando Suarez, the healing servant leader of MonteMaria Shrine in Batangas, Philippines but who is actually based in Canada. Brother Romy Abulad of SVD in Cebu has sent me an email about the healing stones of the Batangas shrine last year. And now, I have witnessed a lot of healing during the two healing sessions we attended in New Jersey.
First, we had a eucharistic mass and then a healing session throughout the whole night on a Monday evening at St. Veronica Church in Howell, New Jersey. I also bought wooden and pearl bracelet rosaries, which oftentimes heal sickness.
Then on Tuesday lunch, we had another prayer meeting and healing session in the house of a married couple from Batangas, who are both UST medical graduates, and who are now practising medicine here in the USA and living in New Jersey. The Filipino group was there, everybody bringing pot luck Philippine food.
There was an open forum where Fr. Fernando Suarez explained the ministry and foundation for the poor that he has founded, and we asked questions about it. I asked about the healing stones in the shrine that Romy told me about. I noticed that Fr. Fernando Suarez is a very simple man, but when he is healing, he seems to have a third eye. You do not even have to tell him what is your sickness, he seems to know where specifically to touch the sick person.
On Tuesday night, Fr. Suarez celebrated another eucharistic mass and healing session in the gymnasium because there were thousands of people from all over. And he is going to many more parishes in New Jersey to minister.
Jaime, you can visit the website of Fr. Fernando Suarez at fatherfernando.com, or montemariashrine.com, or
marymotherofthepoor.org.
You can also see him healing on YouTube. I hope that you will get healed from your dis-ease and move forward towards well-being.
I hope that everything is fine with everybody. I thought of all of you during the mass and healing.
I have this unconditional positive regard for everybody already inculcated in my person.
With the love of Jesus Christ,
josephine pasricha

Dearest Jaime,

I've been in your kind of spot before... and I know how you feel. A few years back, I had some liquid forming in my brain resulting from infection. It was pressing on the brain, and I had symptoms of stroke....the left side of my body was weak, my left eyelid could not open at the same time as the right, every time I held a book to read with both hands... it fell, because my left arm gave up on me.

The worst was the pain on the left side of my head [where the liquid was],I couldn't sleep, lay my head on the pillow or touch that part, it hurt too much. I couldn't hear well because the ringing inside my head was louder than any sound outside. I was doing postgrad study then ....I had to drop out.

The neurosurgeon couldn't operate to take the water out....he said it was too spread out on the surface of my brain. I spent some time in the hospital and continued with medication. So it's still there now...I'm still a bit weak on the left side, when I'm real tired almost all the symptoms appear.

Believe in your doctor, if needed... get a second opinion, and keep faith.
Reading this post...I am certain your cognitive ability has not been affected, you train of thought is still clear and logical...your sense of humor intact...[we have to rely on our sense of humor a lot :)].

IMO, you are a strong person, who doesn't get down easily. You will overcome.

Sending you positive thoughts and energy and lots of love,
myoce

Dear Jaime,

I had the same problem ear impalance a few years ago so I know how you are feeling. Please take a lot of rest, at that time I had to stop driving for a while, because a complete blackout can happen anytime. But after some rest and right medication ( I forgot the medicines ), I recover completely at that time, but the doctor warned me, it can come back anytime ..... but it doesn't for 10+ years. So pleae take care of it completely.
I won't mind under the care of that brilliant (both look and brain) doctor, at all ~__^ So visit him as much as you need.
I am sending my loving kindness (metta)for your speedy recovery.
From reading this posting, you still have that same great sense of humour and the same good taste in men :) Your natural talent won't be changed easily.
Take care.

love,
Y.

Hi Jaime , how are you now ? i hope you getting better , it sounds like you got dizziness due to imbalance in the inner ears , viral infection
likely . So you have a chance to consult a handsome ever
neurosurgeon , may be you need follow up visit then .
I don't believe you have stroke and hope you wouldn't have it , do something to prevent it as your handsome neurosurgeon has advised you to do .

I'm just happy i the long run you will be alright,
you have to much life and spark for it to waiste away.

Dear Jaime,

Sorry I wallowed in my condition and made you heavy-hearted. It wasn't my intention. Please don't think about it...I have adapted.. I'm now my perky and chatty self again :)

I'm praying for you, so you could focus on the light at the end of the dark passage....focus on the health you will regain after the treatment and rest.

Don't forget, put on make up and dress to kill on your next check up to doctor Gorgeous !!!

Chinggu, so sorry to read about your condition. Hope it's nothing serious and with just some TLC and continuous follow-ups to that good-looking Doc FM/KT in your area will do wonders to your beauty and overall health.

I agree with Myoce that you should wear make-up and stilletos and dress to die for and keep your funnybones/humor/commediene extra ordinaire and all will be back.

Take care and hugz!

My Lady Jaime!

Sending positive vibes your way for a speedy recovery. Please rest and take care of YOU. My Mom also dealt with ear imbalance - she's much better now. Follow your doc's advice and you shall be back to normal soon. Please keep us posted on you. Think positive!!

hugs to you!

My dear Jaime,

Thank you for sharing with us. We will all pray that you recover quickly and fully.

As for dressing to kill for your follow up visit with Dr. Gorgeous, I totally agree but beware of the last part of chinggu's advice. I suspect she has the usual ulterior motives in advising stilletos given your current issue with balance (wink to Judy onni).

As for the sakura, I hope you get to see them but keep in mind: Health Over Flowers, lah.

Hi again Chinggu and Jo Onni!

Aiyo, I have only the best "ulterior motives" for my dear Chinggu, no strings attached(scout's promise, hehhehehe!).

The reason behind telling Chinggu to wear stilletos is to make her so irresistibly SEXY to the gorgeous doc! This will make her look like SJP whenever she wears her Manolos in SATC(remember when Mr. Big said that whenever Carrie enters a room with her high heels, everyone is sooooooo engulfed in her beauty and the manner she walks?).

And that will take our KING out of Chinggu's mind for some time while the rest of us do the "scheming" as to how we can snatch YJ out of Korea? ehhehehee!(winking back at Jo Onni!)

Take a lot of rest and be worry free, Chinggu. We'll keep praying that your health be restored ASAP!

Love,
Judy

Dear Myoce,

I am so happy that you maintain the cheerful outlook and sparkling personality which are so essential to a fulfilled life.

Hehe, I must be getting old. When I saw brilliant young men these days, I only wish my son could find his own direction and contribute positively to the world. I guess the role of a mother comes before my own self :)

Please take care... love, jaime

jaime said...

Dear chinggu,

sorry to disappoint you, you are not going to get rid of me THAT easy :) Not even 100 Fukuyama/Kimura blend neurosurgeons are going to drag me away from HRH! I only see the handsome young doc as my son, but HRH is definitely NOT a son material to me (I'm sure you know what my old, dirty mind is thinking, hahaha!) So, I am going to save my Manolos and Chanel little black dress when I have a chance to come within 3 feet of HRH (which of course can be half a century away when all his bodyguards have retired :) In the meantime chinggu, wait for me to gain my memory and motor skills back so I am fit to duel again. Until next round!

Please take care ... love & hugs, jaime

Dear vegas,

I am sorry to hear that your mom has experienced this illness. I am sure it was very uncomfortable for her and glad to hear that she is recovered. Yes, I am following the doctor's advice but is quite frustrated at not being at 100%, you know what I mean. thanks for your kind and warm words, as usual. Please take care!

Hi dear gosijo,

Thanks for the advice about chinggu. You know how I always have to read and re-read my chinggu's suggestions. Natural beauties like her does not understand how painstaking and impossible a job for a plain old woman like me to put on makeup to 'kill', oops I mean to impress :)

You are always so witty, hahaha, health over flowers? We went to see lit-up Sakura last night and it was stunning! I can't wait to share them with you. Please enjoy the beautiful spring in Toronto!
