Calm before the Storm

Hi Hi ..... I know every Bae sister's mind is on HRH's next move now ...... When he will fly from Seoul to Osaka? Which hotel he is staying at? When he will go to Tokyo? etc etc. As much as I want to enjoy this 'honeymoon' period (as cloudnine puts it so eloquently) of waiting & longing, but I still have so many personal matters to attend to that I simply do not have this luxury for anticipation :(

Cloudnine, Kiyomi and I got a much needed break last night attending a Herbal Therapy Workshop. Kiyomi san just came from the opening of the new Park BOFi, which is within a few minutes’ walk from Gosireh. Since the announcement was kind of a short notice, I was told not too many sisters were present. You have probably read from bb's blog that there are 2 types of admission charge - VIP (2000 yen) and Premium (1500 yen). Both VIP and Premium entitle you to a gift and a coffee/OJ, and VIP also includes a polaroid picture of yourself in hanbok.

This is the 'gift' - a clear file folder and a non-BYJ diary

According to Kiyomi, there are 3 theme rooms in this charming little house – Winter Sonata, TWSSG and Untold Scandal. There is also a small kitchen for serving drinks and a limited variety of souvenirs are sold. Kiyomi bought more clear files. Hehe, she must have a lot of Bae business to file :)

Sounds like a cute little place for Bae fans to go after a meal at Gosireh, huh? OK, back to our Herbal Therapy Workshop .....

Whether you are a working woman or a housewife, we are constantly under stress coming from every direction. Even though we are lucky enough to know BYJ and each other to keep ourselves young-at-heart and high in spirit, nevertheless we can't deny that we are aging and our energy level is not like it used to be.

Herbal therapy is a form of aromatherapy that increases the body’s natural power of healing through herbs. We feel pleasant and revived when we inhale the aromatic scents of a flower. The reason is the aromatic component is transmitted to the brain, stimulating it to send a calming signal to the autonomous nervous, immune and hormone secretion systems. Similarly by taking in herbal tea directly, the herbal component circulates through our blood capillaries improving our natural power of healing – thus bringing our mind and body to a harmonic balance.

Hehe sorry for sounding so academic, I guess if there is any suitable time, this is probably 'it' for us to have a relaxing time before the Yonsama storm hits this weekend. The speaker, who is an aromatherapist, recommended the 3 most common types of herbal blend tea to meet the needs for today's lifestyle, body condition and mental health (haha chinggu, don’t laugh, I know you are thinking there is no remedy to treat my hopeless mental state, right?)

Tea for Woman’s Body –
Chamomile (3 teaspoons), Rose (2), Calendula/Marigold (2), Lemongrass (2), Elder Flower (1)

(sorry for these pics w/ ugly cups, I forgot to take the pics when they displayed them nicely on plates :(
- Relaxing effect on body
- Relieves internal cramps and stress
- Smoothes skin irritation

Tea for Metabolism –
Hibiscus (1 teaspoon), Rose (2), Orange Peel (2), Strawberry (5), Dried fruits eg. papaya, grapes, pineapples (2)
- Supplies vitamin C and citric acid
- Balances female hormone
- Relieves indigestion

Tea for Detoxify
Peppermint (1teaspoon), Echinacea (1) – avoid long usage, Nettle (2), Orange peel (3), Biwa leaf/Loquat leaf (4)

- Reduce sick feeling of migraine
- Fights bacterial and viral infections
- Cleansing blood

There are actually a lot more benefits than I have listed above. The aromatherapist asked us to put together our own herbal blend tea that suits our own needs. Hehe, I picked the 'Tea for Detoxify' even though it's a little bitter because I have a feeling there will be major back pain from too much standing and waiting (for HRH) in the upcoming week. If I may mention, cloudnine picked the 'Tea for Woman's Body' to relax herself and kiyomi picked the 'Tea for Metabolism' I think for the fruity taste, am I right? You probably all know how beautiful Japanese packaging is. Look, they even showed us how to wrap our tin of blend tea beautifully to take home, pretty eh?

Hehe, when all the 'hard work' of wrapping our tea is done, they served us (what else but?) herbal tea and some really healthy homemade scones and cookies - oiishi desu ne! We just sipped our tea, munched on our scones and tried to enjoy this relaxing evening but deep down, I know Osaka and Yong Joon are looming at the back of our minds.

If everything goes according to schedule, Yong Joon should touch down on Japan's soil tomorrow. 2 more days to the TWSSG event!

Cutest Big Baby

I know I know, I am using the most inappropriate words to describe an accomplished 35 years old man. But look at this cutie ...... don't you just want to pinch his cheeks or better yet, give it a quick peck? :)

Survival Tips for the Osaka Event

As we are counting down to the TWSSG Premium Event in Osaka, the entire Bae world’s attention has descended onto the ‘Land of the Rising Sun’. Being the recipient of such wonderful hospitality extended by the Japanese family, other than being eternally grateful, may I conjure up something more tangible to repay their kindness?

Ticket –

OK I guess this is quite obvious, eh? For sisters who live outside of Osaka, if you do not have an airplane or Shinkansen ticket in your hand by now, I suggest you better start walking there today. Sigh, 35000 seats are really not enough for so many of his loving fans around the world. Now HRH, instead of us all flocking to one single city to see you, will you consider just ONE of you going around the world to see all of us?

Emergency Rescue Effort –

OK, you are going on this once-in-lifetime dream date with the most gorgeous man in the world, and you are going for the ‘au natural’ look??

Uh huh ,not ME! Drop all your chores and forget about lunching with your galfriends. For the next 7 days, these are your best friends – hairstylist, dermotologist, esthetician, manicurist; or for me, a plastic surgeon for a total face reconstruction! If you don’t have time for them, then these may be the next best thing - do it at home face revival kit :

Bae business cards –

This is a custom that I pick up from the Japanese sisters – exchanging business cards. Hehe, what else but with our gorgeous HRH’s pictures on it! Now, the card you use very much represents your taste on favorite HRH’s image or his drama character. So, please pick one from below, not all, ok?

Body armor -

Unless you are the size of Mr. Shin or his NY bodyguards, it’s advisable to wear some form of protective gear when entering into the danger zone of the arena. After all, you are in the company of 34999 other hormone-charged, adrenaline-rushed, young-at-heart women whose only have their minds and eyes on HRH, and will trample on anything/anybody that gets in the way.

Standing tall and proud –

If you are ‘fortunate’ enough to stand behind a 5’ 10” super-model height sister, (and knowing my luck, I will be!), you better equip yourself with this ‘half-footer elevated’ device to counteract this problem. Well, to be on the cautious side, better book an appointment too to see your podiatrist right after you return home.

Attention grabber -
Unless you befriend the lighting director of Kyocera Dome, and bribe him to have the spot light constantly aiming at you. Otherwise, the only way to get our HRH’s attention is to permanently holding a high voltage torch light shining at your own face during the entire duration of the event. Imagine you are the only light source among the entire pitch dark dome, where else can HRH’s beautiful eyes directed other than at YOU?

Close up –

Unless you plan to climb up on stage and sit on HRH’s laps through out the event, how else are you going to check out the gorgeous one pixel by pixel? Well, this beauty can do the job without you running the risk of being thrown out by security guards and banned from ever getting within 100 feet of HRH. And this is not even counting that you will be making 34999 instant enemies in one single day!

Plan ahead –
If you want your hubby and kids to be still smiling when you come back from ‘heaven’; more importantly, if you want to have a ‘next time’, I suggest you have the take out menu and phone numbers of the nearby 100 restaurants handy. Why, you don’t want to come back and clean up a messy kitchen or worse, them getting the house burnt down, do you?

Frankly, this is the first time I go to an event of such nature and magnitude, I don’t think I can ever be prepared enough to face such emotional roller-coaster ride. But I think if I carry a sincere heart, a sense of humor and a lot of patience, June 1, 2008 will be one of the most memorable day in my life.

Thank you Bae sisters from around the world for cheering for us. Thank you Japanese sisters for being so kind to me. Let’s have fun with Yong Joon in Osaka!

Princess Hours - Impression

Today is a fateful day in my Bae journey, it’s probably one of those days that will be remembered and being related over and over again to other Bae sisters. No, I haven’t fast forwarded my calendar to June 1 yet. Today I am meeting our princess bb for the very first time!

Now we all know happiebb is probably one of the most famous BYJ fan around – not only that she is the fastest and most reliable source of Yong Joon news. She has also contributed so much to Yong Joon’s literature with her brilliant writing and translation skills. But despite of all these credentials, happiebb means something more to me.

Almost 3 years ago when I discovered about this amazing Korean actor called Bae Yong Joon, ‘happiebb.blogspot.com’ kept coming up again and again in all the articles and news that I read. Back then, I hardly even had the skills to navigate through pages of a website, let alone knowing what a blog is. But when I started reading the interesting posts in bb’s blog, I found out more and more about this man and fell deeper and deeper in love with him. Simultaneously, I also got addicted to bb’s daily updates (be it about BYJ or her thoughts). Not only is her writing brilliant and witty, her ideas fresh and cute, her personality charming and easy-going, her blog is like a haven for new fans. Being the reserved and ordinary me, I felt too self-conscious to have anything worthy to add to the already bustling Bae world. It is the warmth and hospitality in bb’s blog that invited newcomers like me to walk the Bae journey hand-in-hand together with all other sisters. Without her welcome and encouragement, I would never dare to enter a single word in the internet, let alone writing and starting my own blog.

I heard a lot about princess bb – pretty, smart, quick, friendly, independent …… but I have to tell you, like our HRH, camera really doesn’t do justice to her beauty. She is one very stunningly beautiful lady in person. The princess was fashionably late for an hour (em hm!), I could spot her right away among the crowds. She was wearing a black & white print silk dress with black boots, very cute and hip. She has got this long, dark, straight, smooth hair hanging like a cascade of silk threads behind her back. But her eyes! Omigosh! She has the most beautiful pair of eyes – big, round, crystal clear (actually brownish amber) with long curly lashes. They glisten like they are talking to you. I always thought her voice is lower and louder, but princess actually has a sweet voice that speaks like a nightingale. Her bright sunny smile gives her entire face a fresh glow that radiates warmth to the people around her. No wonder she blogged about the taxi driver in Jeju said she’s like a flower :)

It’s funny that you’ve never met this person before, but standing in front of me, this girl didn’t seem like a stranger to me at all. Like her blog personality, she’s honest and straightforward but not blunt nor intimidating. She is quick to share her opinion but also willing to listen to yours. She seems to be busy handling 10 things at the same time but is still very much aware of her surroundings. After spending half a day with her, what comes to my mind is : Yong Joon, don't you know your perfect wife candidate is among your fans? She’s beautiful, intelligent, educated, sociable and most importantly – the girl is totally in love with you!

P.S. Hehe, I’ll leave the day’s activities to bb as she probably has better (brighter) pictures than mine.

Love Call

Hehe dear sisters ... a ''love call' to HRH in NYC? Oh no no no .... in fact it is the theme of a photo exhibition featuring the work of famed international photographer Eiichiro Sakata 坂田栄一郎. It is held in the Maru-Cube building by AERA magazine celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Cloudnine and I were in the Marunouchi area (near the Imperial Palace) yesterday after a nice lunch with tomato-san. Afterwards, we took a nice stroll in the neighbourhood and she was kind enough to take me here. Why? Because of this @@

WOW! We could spot our HRH's million dollar smile from miles away amid other celebrities' pictures. And mind you, the gorgeous Beyonce is placed right next to him too! But alas, every star fades around this extraordinary man. Now, to prove that I am not biased, among the hundred portraits in the exhibition, only 6 are displayed at the window facing the main street to attract visitors. Hehe, need I say more? Now, to give you a better drooling view of the gorgeous one. Oops .... I didn't know the reflection is that bad :)

Oh Oh Oh BIG day tomorrow, I am finally going to meet the princess! So excited, can't wait! Will let you know how it goes, ok?

His best side?

Hi Hi ..... have you seen these latest pictures yet? Yeah yeah I know, it's only the back, but it's better than nothing, right? Hehe, you hear people sometimes joke during picture taking that their back is their 'best' side.

When you look at HRH's back, phew, isn't that a 'best' side already? Healthy luscious hair, thick broad shoulder, strong arms, nipped in waist, ummm hmmm .... perfect butt (blush), long muscular legs, elegant stride, sweating!

But sigh, this man knows no limit to his beauty. Look at his side, I have lost my words to describe him anymore. I know we are all thinking the same thing - how gorgeous can he get? Enjoy :)

More pictures of HRH during that CF shoot in NYC. Looks like it's from yomitime.com - a local Japanese community paper in New York.
