Home sweet home

Hi hi ..... Thank you for your well wishes. Everytime when we have to leave Tokyo and travel somewhere, I just couldn't wait for the trip to be over so we can come back to the city I love. Last night when I was talking to Kiyomi san and she asked me, "Canada must be very beautiful in the fall now". "Yes", I thought to myself, "With the maple leaves beginning to change colors, the country side is revealing a palette of bright yellow, burnt orange and deep red. Boy! I have actually forgotten how beautiful my home country is!"

Thanks Jenny for writing about "Home sweet home", hmmmm...... what is home like after 2 years? After what we have experienced in Japan, will we see things differently? Well, I'll find out very soon :) Please take care, my dear sisters!

Dear Jaime,

Hope your trip back home goes as smoothly as possible and that "hopefully" turns into certainty :-)

The forecast for this coming week in TO is absolutely perfect, sunny every day with highs in the low twenties. The leaves are still mostly green but the late summer flowers shine in the golden glow of the sun.

I know there will not be time to meet while you're here BUT we must make up for it in Tokyo.

Ah, weighing in on the H1N1 question, I must admit it's been ever present on my mind in relationship to the large public events at the end of the month. Even when contemplating meeting sisters again or for the first time, what is the current protocol? Are hugs definitely out? Handshakes?

Perhaps it's a matter of "when in Japan, do like the Japanese." Bow.

Dear gosijo,

Good question. Hehe, I actually follow the initiation of the other sister first - bow, handshake or hug. But you are right, I guess bowing is the proper etiquette in Japan :)

thanks for the weather update. talk to u soon.
love .... jaime

I'm sure Canada is a beautiful country. LM Montgomery is my favorite author, I have almost all her book [except Emely of New Moon series] and I read the beautiful descriptions in her book...makes me want to see for myself ^^

I read through this thread this morning and have a random question. You mentioned "Kiyomi-san" - it is a big world and there are a lot of people in it ... but I have a dear friend who lives in Japan near Tokyo - she is a Bae Yong Joon fan. I was wondering if it might be the same person. Not likely, but I am curious. Is your friend Kiyomi-san also a Lee Jee Hoon fan? That is how I "met" my friend Kiyomi - on Lee Jee Hoon's message board.

I have only been to Canada a few times, but it is beautiful. LM Montgomery is one of my favorite authors too. My oldest daughter's middle name is "Anne" with an "E" because of it! My middle name is Ann, and my mother would never let me spell it with an "E" - so I made sure my daughter could!

Hi jaime

You are most welcomed, do u know why i use this home sweet home word to u ? Everytime when they is a long festival holiday in my country , all my collegues and friends will tell me that they will go back to hometown to celebrate and my self a local will not have that kind of experience before. So is really home sweet home if u go back during this festival time and once in a while . I really envy those who have a hometown, and u know one year during CNY i follow one of my friend go back to their hometown to celebrate. u can really feel different, so i feel happy for u too.

Hope u have a wonderful and quality time with your family. Lastly i love love love autumn cause can see those brown and redish maple trees.

Dear myoce, carol ann, karen, marce, jenny, cecy,

My dear sisters, thank you so much for your heartfelt words. I appreciate your kindness so much. This home trip had been really tough on my emotions. It's always the thoughts of Yong Joon and you dear sisters that keep my spirit up. I hope I can get back to my regular blogging soon. Please take care!

Love ..... Jaime

Hehe Carol Ann, I think my Kiyomi san is only in love with Yong Joon.

Dear Myoce, Ann of Green Gables and the Road to Avonlea are some of my favourite reads too. I love the characters under the pen of Lucy Montgomery :) Prince Edward Island also provides a beautiful backdrop to the stories.
