Let the acting bugs bite

Hi Hi sisters ....... Our dear handsome prince, looks like you have been quite a busy bee lately. Well, let’s see .......

You are a discerning photographer (causing your desperate fans wishing they were either bamboos or hydrangeas)

You are a 'would-be bestseller' author (we don't know what you are writing, but we've already reserved a slot in our bookshelves :)

You are an A+ student, I'm sure you are in the top 3 of your class :) Hehe just kidding, bet your other 2 classmates had elected you as class president

You even stole the limelight from David Copperfield and becomes the most gorgeous magician ever!

You are an unconditional patriot (but how come you are lip-synching, we think your voice is up there with the 3 tenors!)

You are a 'top choice' tourism ambassador, bet most flights to Korea and hotels in Seoul are booked for 2010! (btw, how come Mrs. President awarded you with a neck pillow? Didn't they know you don't need to sleep much??)

You are a well deserved medalist (at least this time they gave you something more useful, that's a laptop, isn't it?)

Well, you became an advisor on 'Live long & happy on a grass diet' campaign to the exclusive 'over 50 & powerful' country club (please excuse my pun, but I still can't get over you NOT being the center of attention here!)

Then naturally, you turned 'green' and became an environmentalist

This sir, I can't make out? Are you trying to be a tomb raider or Indiana Jones?

But you know what I really think my prince? I think you are at your most brilliant just being you – an actor who uses his heart to act and melts millions of others' @@ So, let those acting bugs bite!

Hi Jaime,

I can't help laughing while I am reading this, I've got hard time to finish reading it because of it. I am wondering from where you got such a sense of humor and imagination. I have to say you are a genius.

Hi hi carlette jean,

errrr ... actually, Yong Joon doesn't seem to sing or dance much. pretty rare for an actor, eh? hehe, if he's not such a hunk, he'd be a pretty square guy, huh? just kidding!
Thanks for dropping by!

Dear myoce,

I doooooo hope so, he is wasting his prime years as an actor. What I am worried is no production company can actually afford him now. As his super stardom is getting bigger and bigger, there are less and less scripts suitable for him. He probably has to look into producing and acting in his own drama. hehe, just grumbling anyway :) Please take care!

Hi HI gosijo,

you miss him too? thanks for coming by. take care, ok?

Dear Hyds,

Yes, I think he takes everything to heart and he puts it all when he acts. He was in such emotional pain while filming April Snow and then went through such physical pain in TWSSG, it was not a breeze for him. I still think he is a brilliant actor, his facial expression and body language are just perfect, not excessive nor plain, in every single scene. Hope he doesn't give up acting.
Thanks for your comment.

Dear jenny,

I am happy that you enjoy this post. I really am hoping we can read more on his acting related news. The CFs & those making clips don't count, right?

btw, congrats on your wonderful BMF party! Did you win a lot of BYJ goodies?

Hi Hi alcy,

Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. Hahaha, you wish the bugs will bite hard on our prince? Are you sure your heart won't ache? Ok, I should have rephrased - let the acting bugs sting lightly! Please take care!

Dear yudi,

Thanks for your wonderful kind words. I am happy you enjoy reading this. I guess stars only appear when they want to promote themselves. At his level, he needs to hide more than any promotion. That leaves us poor fans longing and wondering what's his next act :(

Hehe, sometimes I see your translation in baidu, it's so nice of you to help out. the sisters over there are wonderful, too bad I don't know how to comment in chinese. Please take care!

Hi Jaime

If the bugs don't bite hard enough, we'd have to wait a lot lot longer to see him on screen . . . I have every confidence that our prince will be tough enough to handle a hard bug's bite. . .(haha, call me selfish :P)

Hi Jaime

Great post. As witty and insightful as always.

Like you, I WORRY that he's wasting his prime years with all this delay in another acting project.

About his acting,you
put it so well - "his facial expression and body language are just perfect, not excessive nor plain, in every single scene".

It's not just his looks but this incredible ability which makes him so watchable.

Time and looks wait for no man. He's already 36. I really hope he won't waste his prime years. Some fans say and I agree that it was a waste he did not do more acting or even CFs during his Barefooted Youth days.

Some may think his other activities are important to promote Korea. But I think his acting projects contribute more to Korea's GDP than anything else. When he's filming, Korea
benefits from sales of broadcasting and DVD rights and fans visiting Korea to see him at the filming sites.

Sometimes, I wonder whether I should support him in his travel book. He might think that it's OK to go on doing all these other non-acting things. I suppose I will still buy his book
to support him but I honestly prefer to buy his drama/movie DVDs or his photo books (photos of him, not photos he takes).

Dear Jaime,

I totally agree with you. Considering the size of his fan circle, I think there actually no choice for him but to hide himself. I am lucky in a way, because as a new fan, I still have that very juicy cuttlefish to enjoy. But I am longing for his new show too.

I am very glad you see my translation in Baidu. I think that might be the only thing I can do to somehow express my love and thanks to Yong Joon.

Take care, and remember to have good rest.

Dear Josephine,

Yes, I thought I am so 'well trained' already by Yong Joon on the department of patience. Apparently, I need to go to boot camp and brush that up again. Thanks for your advice.

Hi Hi jenny again,

wowowow, lucky lucky you! I am so happy for you, you must be looking at that autographed picture all the time! You did touch the real one, I hope; or nobody was allowed to go near it? :)

Hehe, Japan has such a large fan base and I don't belong to any group. I was fortunate enough to attend some of the events because some sisters are very kind to invite me :) As for Toronto, I don't think we have enough fans to form an official group there. I am going to miss Japan so much :(

Dear S'pore fan,

Thank you for your heartfelt comments. I totally understand your standpoint. I also agree that a good drama can accelerate someone to super stardom or create a phenomenon, like the power of Winter Sonata. Hope Koreans do not deviate from what they are doing so well with, i.e. producing high quality TV drama.

Dearest Jaime and Bae sisters:
Actually what Bae Yong Joon needs to get back the inspiration to make another television drama or movie is to get a new coach -- perhaps from Hollywood or New York or France, Germany, even Poland. He has already mastered all that he could learn in Korea and Asia, he is ready for the New Cinema.
Like Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Clint Eastwood. I do not know if his fans will like a new image, but that is the only way to go now.

Hi HI Jelen,

Thanks for enjoying this post. Hehe, I am hoping those acting bugs are already inside our prince's body, they just have to fight and defeat the business bugs, the writing bugs, the patriotic bugs etc. ......

Have a nice weekend ... love, jaime
