HRH's heart-stopping pictures have been floating around the net for a few days now and I am just mesmerized by those mysterious eyes behind the hair and eyeglasses. The Sept issue of Vogue is finally on sale in the bookstore today. I rushed to Tsutaya and got myself a copy. Errr ..... there's actually only 3 pages on HRH. I'll say the internet pictures are much clearer and bigger! Oh btw, there's also a page on an interview with E JiAh under the 'New Women' section.
Hehe, but I am still happy about this issue, why? Because this is the fall fashion issue, so lots of beautiful designs, exquisite tailoring and of course, the new trends. Vogue has also attached 3 additional issues on 'Isetan Mania', 'Sex and the City Fashion' and 'Bags & Shoes Dictionary'! Trust me, with all these goodies, the magazine is really as thick as a DICTIONARY!

Hahaha, an older, handsomer Harry? No offense at all. I am a Potter fan too. But since I know Harry Potter since he was an 11 year old boy, so he will forever remain a cute and adorable wizard to me. But for Yong Joon, he sure looks very sexy, sultry and mysterious in these Vogue photo shoots.
I also feel there are too many material restrictions in these pictures. I wish he could lose that high collar leather jacket (even though it costs a fortune!),
thick rimmed eyeglasses, and just leave the long sweeping bangs as the only accessory :) Hehe sorry, seems like I have more complaints than you now :)

It is so cool to see Bae Yong Joon in leather jacket, pony tail hair, dark glasses, trying to reach the universal and ultimate audience in the wealthy West. But in the process, I feel that he is losing his position and stature as a thinking man who stands for the ideals, values and concepts of the East, the common inheritance of the Asiatic race. Therefore, is he only dreaming in his surge for "Asia is One", with one common currency, one economy, one trade market, one culture. Bae Yong Joon is unconsciously doing it already in the cinema and in culture within and beyond Asia. In his belief in One Asia, he has already joined philosophers like Rabindranath Tagore, Sun Yat Sen, Sri Aurobindo, Lee Kuan Yew and the Japanese Okakura Kokuzo. How could he simply give it up? Why should he put up an image, and pose even if it is for Vogue -- as hot, punk, cool, even wearing skull bracelets? I feel betrayed as an Asian.

Hi Josephine,
I remember the Vogue article in bb's blog mentioned that the Bottega Veneta outfit was prepared by the Vogue staff. Yong Joon also got curious about this new fall style and said he might try it this winter. I think as an actor and certainly a style icon, it's part of the job to be open to new trends and styles. To be fair, I think Yong Joon has always been very tasteful and kind of on the safe/mature side in fashion. With his long hair now, I have a feeling that he inclines to experiment with a few more styles and acessories that are usually out of his safety zone.
I guess what I am trying to say is : ultimately he is an artist and a trendsetter, so he can afford to be more flamboyant than the rest of us. Clothes are clothes, I am sure our Yong Joon feels that how he acts, what he says and do speaks for itself. Don't you agree, Josephine?
