Nikkan Sports 08-09

Hi Hi sisters ..... just like to let you know that Nikkan Sports has released the cover of its annual Yong Joon's special issue. Hehe no surprise, it's about the journey that he went on in the past year. The only disappointment is they didn't choose one of his close up shots, as they did in the past issues :(

If you are interested, you can order it through HMV or Amazon Japan. It retails for 1500 yen, and is due out Nov 13. If there is only 1 Yong Joon magazine that you like to buy each year, maybe you can consider this one. Enjoy :)

Hi Layla,

Please don't worry. HMV Japan has an English site www.hmv.co.jp/en/
that's how I order my BYJ goods when I was in Canada. You can search for Bae Yong Joon and this will come up :

http://www.hmv.co.jp/en/search/index.asp?keyword=bae+yong+joon&site=

Nikkan Sports issue is this one :

Bae Yong Joon 日刊スポーツがみたペ・ヨンジュン 08-09

Please double check the price and delivery date. Yes, they do ship outside of Japan. The price is competitive here but not all BYJ goods are from BOF. Please make sure it's 08-09 because they are also selling back issues of Nikkan Sports here. Have fun ordering!

dear Karen,

Sigh, I wish I could confidently proclaim "Yes, I know Japanese!"
I think I only know enough to survive my daily needs. I spent most of my time learning about Japanese cultures, travelling, on my family and BYJ (hehe), thus never have time sitting quietly at home to study. I think watching Japanese shows with subtitles might help too, but I'd habitually pick up a Yong Joon's drama when I have time to sit in front of a TV :)

WHy? Are you thinking of learning Japanese? I think a young lady like you will be much easier to pick up a new language than an old housewife like me. Please take care!

Hi layla and karen,

Forgot to mention Amazon Japan also has an English page.

http://www.amazon.co.jp/In-English/b/ref=topnav_switchLang?ie=UTF8&node=1094656

Same thing, you can search for 'Bae Yong Joon' and there are 4 pages of goods, isn't it wonderful? Please enjoy!

P.S. I am embarassed to say I haven't really done any shopping in Japanese either. Cloudnine is always so kind and orders for me everytime :)

Dear Jenny,

I also agree Nikkan Sports has chosen a picture that touches our hearts. Just curious, I took out the previous issues 04-05, 05-06, 06-08 just now and looked through them again (I only looked through them once after I first received them). It brings back so many nice memories of Yong Joon in the past years :)

You're very welcome dear. Have a nice day!

Hi Karen,

Yeah, I agree it's very difficult to learn kanji as they have so many strokes and there are no rules. I always wonder how non-native can learn Chinese, it's got to be one of the most difficult language to pick up.

Hehe, I don;t mean to blame it on age, but I forget words easily that are not used everyday. I hope enthusiasm and effort will compensate for my shortcomings. Btw dear, you sound young and energetic to me :)

Dear Yee,

You sure are quick. We took our nephew to the Kinokuniya in Shinjuku last weekend and were impressed at the size of the foreign books section on the 8th floor. We must have spent at least 2 hours there checking out all the rare and precious book collections. Hehe, bookstores and libraries are wonderful places for family outing. Have a good weekend!

Hi Hi Marilyn,

Happy to hear about the book order from BMF. Xiaoyi has sent me the slideshow CD of the BMF gathering, I enjoy it so much. Hope you will enjoy your Nikkan Sports issue.

Hi Hi Layla,

Me too, I hope his health will be restored and he can enjoy his regular activities. Yeah, it's never a good thing to have fluctuating body weights like this.

I admire you for learning both Korean and Japanese together. How can you manage their difference? But then I heard the structure of these 2 languages are similar, still they are sooooo difficult! You must be really talented in language, good luck!
