A scary one!

Dear sisters ......... We just experienced a strong earthquake in Tokyo. I think the epicenter was under the Pacific Ocean south of the Japan main island (Honshu). The magnitude was 6.9 - detrimental. The entire country of Japan felt the shock but I think Kanto region (including Tokyo) recorded the strong 4.0 magnitude.

Our 'earthquake resistant' highrise building was swaying and I could feel the floor thumping under my feet! Whenever there is a tremor, I usually look at the light in my dining area as that is my best indicator of how serious an earthquake is. This time, the crystal ball was swinging widely back and forth like a pendulum! Trust me at that moment, my legs and arms felt so weak and I bet my face must have turned pale too! My instinct was to kneel down and pray to God and let this one pass us without any harm. I heard the early report is no serious injury or damage. I hope all our Japanese sisters and their families are safe. Peace!

Dearest Jaime and Bae Sisters, specially in Japan:
Be not afraid.
For Psalm 91 promises:
You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High,
Who abide in the shadow of the Almigthy,
Say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress,
My God in whom I trust,"
God will rescue you...

Hi Jaime,

Kenchana? That was a long one indeed. We usually don't care much about the quakes, but this time I almost went under the table and then I changed my mind to go to the cupboard to hold its glasse windows, haha!

Have a lot of fun in Singapore and don't miss the botanical garden for Yon-sama orchid.

Dear Josephine,

Thank you for your kind concerns. I felt I have more courage after praying. I know Holy Mother will take care of us. Have a nice day!

Dear cloudnine,

I wanted to call and see if you are ok, but I thought you are probably busy checking on your family and relatives too. Hehe, can I assume the contents inside your cupboard are all Yonsama's related? Haha, I should have jumped over to my Yong Joon's cabinet too and covered it with my body! Fortunately none of the DVDs cracked :)

Hope everything is safe with you. Please take care!

Jaime, I'm relieved to see your nerves survived the earthquake. I've lived in California for about 12 years and you do get used to them, maybe too used to them.

we only call GOD when we are in danger, we pray for our safety we pray for everything we want to have in life,..and we pray with desires.......are we just pray for the sake of our safety....why dont we just repent and pray without anything in return........its a tremendous pain in Gods heart.......we dont have faith....we only have Desire.

Dear Jaime and Bae sisters:
In our life's journey we pray in different ways and they are all effective so long they are sincere.
1) We ask for the desires of our heart. And God has promised: ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.
2) We praise, worship and thank God. This is one of the most powerful prayers.
3) Centering Prayer. We go into exterior silence, then interior silence, then in the deepest level of our being, be in the presence of God. Indeed Silence is the language of God.

hi ms. jaime....
it's really sad when mother nature strikes back..there's nothing that we can do to stop it, even if we found a way to protect/defend ourselves..we can never win over it. at a magnitude of 4.0..it is scary!!! i experienced 2 quakes in my lifetime..a magnitude of 2.0 and a 4.0 too. it happened 2 years ago at exactly 10:00 pm! the earth that i was standing on was shaking...it took me 3 seconds to get up and ran out towards the street..in sheer panic. it shook for about 2 mins. but i felt it was a lifetime...nothing can prepare me for it...i just don't want to experience it again!!!
japan is prone to earthquakes...so do take care ms. jaime and my japanese sisters..like what ms. josephine said, prayers do help!!!

take care!!
MWAHHH!!!

Hi Jaime,
I hope you are ok now, after to get that scary one moment. When a natural event came there is nothing that we can do, like chacachan said. But we must trust in God. Take care my dear sister.
I hope all the Japanese sisters are ok too.
God Bless you a lot.

I'm glad you are safe and sound
my home country has a minimun of 4 slight tremors per day
when it shakes it is Awful
it's like the earth turns to water.
You can see the city engulf in dust like the earth is going to swallow it hole.

I thank the Lord you and your family are all right,
there is only one thing for this Praying, as no man hands can handle or predict when this things hit, or what they can do.

I hope he keeps you safe and sound

Hi anonymous,

I am not trying to be more religious than others. I always see God like my parents. I don't think parents categorize the kind of calls their children make to them, whether it is with desire or a plain 'Hi'. Parents will give it all to extend their hands to help and protect their children, and I am grateful that God always shows His love to those who knock on his door.

regards .... jaime
