Hi Hi ..... Have you waken up from your wonderful dream with HRH yet? Still savoring every single word in his letter and drowning in his gentleness? or are you busily composing a wishlist of Korean attractions for our prince? Yesterday was indeed an eventful day, eh?
Since my 'innocent' suggestion for HRH's own home is sooooo being mistaken by my 'chinggu' as an evil scheme to gain access into HRH's palace, then I have to come up with an alternate plan to demonstrate my innocence. Hmmmm ........ I got it! Remember Yong Joon said we can even suggest 'a small table in a shabby country restaurant'? Easy enough, how about buying a small shabby restaurant in a remote countryside, take a picture and send it to HRH, then I'll just sit there day and night waiting for him to knock on my door. Hahaha, isn't that a brilliant idea? Ouch! Don't smack me, I'm just daydreaming. First, can't afford it; second, can't cook; and most important, HRH is smart enough to tell :)
I'd like to post 2 of Regie's drawings :
I remember the princess mentioned that she thought this picture has a Bohemian feel. I like how Regie has used 'spring' colour to give it a refreshing feel.
This is what Regie wrote how she felt during this drawing (hope she doesn't mind me posting it) :
"I tried new things, by drawing it using color pencils. I got inspired by your article (july2nd, fairyII), when I see the colors of HRH shirt and the picture you put next to it, the fairy in yellow rose.It's so fresh. So I decide to try it."
I think this is the picture that she was referring to. Thanks Regie, I am so touched.

oh, i really love that 'bohemian' one that regie did! the original pic has a rather darkly mysterious air about it, but regie's version is so spring-y! even joyful :)
guess colours really do make alot of difference, ya?
now i'm thinking... i wear black so often, and simply don't wear enough colours... so people would think i'm dark and boring and serious... whilst they would think others in their brighter coloured clothes are happier people? hmmm....
Chinggu, your innocence is accepted(just to clarify things- ONLY FOR NOW, hehhehehe!). No problemo with me about the suggestion. I can cover for you in the cooking department but we have to get a very fat-pursed sugar daddy & ask him to buy us that shabby resto! Hehehhehe!
Keep dreaming and fill me in again on the "developments." Hahahahaha!

hehe, I totally understand what you mean. Black projects being 'cool & confident', it's always an 'in' colour. I remember I only had black/white/grey/beige in my wardrobe and home decor for the longest time. It started after I have my son, children have such acute sense of colour and they react accordingly. I began to appreciate the beauty of colours, afterall, the world is made up of colours. How can we capture a beautiful sunset, rainbow or blooming flowers just by B&W photography? So yes yes princess, you look great in black but I am sure you'll look pretty in colours too :)

BTW, sorry that I am confused. Are you living in Beijing or Philadelphia? I vaguely remember there are BYJ fans in Philadelphia.

I am a Filipino professor teaching in the oldest university of Asia for the past forty years, so I am in my sixties. I am retired from undergraduate teaching, but I still do research, teach in the Graduate School, and serve as panel examiner in the oral defense of theses and dissertations. Presently, I am in India's Silicon Valley IT Tech savvy center (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai) and relocating to Philadelphia.
With pleasure, I hope to read your blogs and autobiographical writings (that is a new literary genre) even from Pennsylvania. For example, from these pictures and inspired drawings of Regie, it is very obvious that every pose of Bae Yong Joon has character and attitude. That distinguishes a great actor from the ordinary ones.

I have three children who are all college graduates and master's degree holders, and two are now doing post graduate degrees in Philadelphia.
When my children were pre-school and in the elementary, I used to tutor them the whole morning, and I worked in the university only in the afternoons. We watched the television together (Sesame Street) in between the tutoring from one subject to another. When they are tired, I do not force them to study. I let them eat and play in between. Tutoring is a game for us.
Having journeyed with them through college, I emphasize that they may not be admitted to the best universities if their grades are not B, or they do not master English, math and science. Then they lose their opportunity to study in the Ivy League.
I do not know if you agree. Happy tutoring. The mantra is study is play.
