I, what should I do?

My heart is very heavy as I am translating this account of an injured Japanese fan. Please pray for the healthy recovery of everyone who got hurt in this accident. Please especially pray for Yong Joon so he has the strength to deal with this unfortunate incident.

From JOB : hokahoka (3/14/2010)
Japanese to Chinese : loveyongjoon/snowkin
Chinese to English : jaime

I am one of the injured fans. As there may be some misunderstanding, I’d like to tell you about what happened during that accident :

After the 4th group of family had finished taking their pictures, Yong Joon san was still standing in the middle of our crowd. As the wind turned stronger, Yong Joon made a ‘X’ hand signal to stop the picture taking. We were told that the photograph session would be moved indoor, so we proceeded walking towards the hotel. Along the way, words spread that since picture taking has not finished yet, they would attempt to do it again. Didn’t know which way to believe, we lined up once more but then realized almost instantaneously that this was a mistake!

We started running from the open parkland to the direction of the hotel. However the gust became so fierce already, I could hardly move an inch forward and sense the danger. Right at that moment, I was hit by a very strong force on my back and got knocked down to the ground. The stage which was used for the photograph session had collapsed. The staffs were frantically removing the wooden planks, despite the high wind, trying to retrieve me from underneath. I was taken to a waiting ambulance and there were already a few other patients with bleeding down their heads. I later learned after my hospital checkup that these people were injured in the course of saving others. My heart ached and felt very apologetic because they braved the strong winds and caused their faces injured. I thought if I were kept standing at the time, I’d have sustained serious injury.

While I was lying on the stretcher in the hospital, Yong Joon san arrived. He was struck at the sight of me lying there, he held my hands close, his eyes swelled with tears and kept apologizing to me. Then he went around to each injured fan, held their hands and apologized one by one. Lastly, he returned back to me, held my hand and murmured softly, "I, what should I do?" I could only reply, "kenchanayo". He is about the same age as my son. Whenever I think of the young man with his warm loving hands and the burdens he has to carry, my heart aches into million pieces. Fortunately, there is no injury to my bones, I can sit in front of the computer again after I took my medicine. I pray that all the injured will recover quickly and be back to good health. I sincerely hope that the pain in Yong Joon’s heart will be relieved. I am grateful to the staff who protected us and got injured. Thank you to the family who are concerned about our safety.

Dear Jaime and Bae sisters:
This story really brings tears to our eyes and pain to the heart.
"What am I supposed to do?"
Be still and know that I am God, answers the Lord.
We will pray for all those involved in the accident and their families and for Bae Yong Joon.
At the same time, we hope that the victims in the hospital be given a complete medical check up, assessment and care. Now and even one year after.
Sarang Hamnida,
josephine

Hi, sister Jaime.
How sweet and sad this is. I am sure many of the other injured sisters must feel the same way about what happened to them. I have been praying for the speedy recovery of each one of our injured sisters, and for the safety of all our BaeFamily. Thank you, dear, for passing this posting on to all of our Family who have been waiting for further news about the accident. Love, Anna

Thanks for bringing us this account, Jaime. It gives recognition to the staff who put themselves in the way of danger to help others.

As for our YJ, I suspect he will need time to put all of this in perspective and contrast it with the way his latest two projects ended - injury to himself and cast members only. I can understand how his first reaction is to be discouraged and uncertain about the right path ahead. I hope he can find wise advisors to help him sort out his feelings.

It seems that having been given so much in terms of charisma and love from so many, he is then tested harder than most; certainly more publicly than the average person.

Praying for the fast recovery of all families and staff affected. May this have no lasting negative effect on anyone.

Hello Jaime!! I'm sorry to find us in this sad times but I understand why you felt saddened too. When I read those lines he uttered I could no longer hold back the tears. I could see him feeling so sorry and helpless..it makes me asked myself what can we do?? We are too human to stop nature and I hope he'd realized that things happened for a reason and being at risk is part of living. Take care.

Thanx Chinggu for the translation and our hearts go out to the injured fans and YJ. I know how heavy this must be for our King but I do hope that they will recover early and the burden on YJ's shoulders will be lightened.

Hi Anna,

Thank you for reading. Yong Joon is as much an emotional person like anyone of us. He obviously was in shock and grief at that moment. We hope everyone who are injured will have a speedy recovery.

Dear alcy,

Thanks for leaving me a comment. I appreciate the fan who wrote about her very brief dialogue with Yong Joon even though she is still recovering. It was so human and gives us a glimpse of the bravery and selflessness of the staffs too.

Hi gosijo,

I agree with you. I hope after the initial shock and grief, Yong Joon realizes that we human have no control over sudden natural disaster like this, we simply prepare as much as we can. As for his future path, he is already contemplating about his life after his Beauty of Korea trip, I guess he will have more to think about after this incident. He is a man of wisdom and grace, I believe only good deeds can come out from him.

Dear Hyds,

I am sorry that you feel sad, knowing that you are still recovering yourself. Yes, everything happens for a reason, I don't mean disrespect to the injured family, maybe it's fate that Yong Joon and them are meant to meet.

Just like the 20 Japanese fans who happened to visit the WLS Anime recording studio a few months ago. I know one of the ladies in that group and she is a really sweet and considerate person. I am truly happy for her that she was so up close to Yong Joon :) So for the injured sister, I hope being so close to Yong Joon ssi would ease their physical pain off a bit and left them with a precious and loving memory.

please take care! all the best.
