Happy Mother's Day

Hi dear sisters ..... Happy Mother's Day! I hope all the 'omma' today to have a truly sweet and loving time with your children :) As you know, my little family of 3 has been pretty much on our own since we moved to Tokyo. This simple setup really allows my teenage boy and I to bond as we learn to deal with a foreign environment together. This will forever be a very special memory for us, I hope.

Hehe, remember I mentioned some day I will compile all of Yong Joon's pictures holding a bouquet? Haha, what day is better than today when he can give all these flowers to so many mothers out there? Ok, let's start with Face Shop ....

They really love putting Yong Joon with flowers, eh? Then Arnold Bassini, I can only find one with some fresh spring flowers :)
SkyPerfect TV, I think
Viliv and flowers? Even Shinhan Financial Group?! What does flowers have to do with stocks and bonds??
Is this Japanese Hotelier?
Now, some older CF pictures ........

Old & New

So, after seeing so many beautiful bouquets, which one do you want to receive from Yong Joon? Hehe, since I don't know how to take care of plants, can I ask for a blowing kiss instead? :) Yeah yeah I know, I have a better chance in grabbing a star from the sky than that :) Hehe, this is my little presents to you dear sisters, hope you enjoy :

thanks to sayaka for the letterhead designs

hiya ms. jaime...
hapie mommy's day to you and mommy baesisters...i'ld like to share this: it's from Khalil Gibran

Your children are not your children
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself
They come through you but not from you
Ang though they are with you
yet they belong not to you
You may give them your love but not your thoughts
For they have their own thougts
you may house their bodies but not their souls
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow
Which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams
You may strive to be like them
But seek not to make them like you
For life goes not backward
nor tarries with yesterday
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth
The Archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends
you with His might
That His arrow may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the Archer's hand be for gladness
For even as He loves the arrow that flies
So He loves also the bow that is stable.

I thought this would really be a nice treat for all Moms...MWAHH!!

Hi Jamie,

i visit your blog every now and then and i'm amazed at your creativity and such passion and love for this wonderful man. But i never like to see him holding flowers, i find it too sissy for a man like him...yet i can't hate him...he's too adorable...and so are you...happy mother's day...

dear chakachan,

sorry for my late reply. I am almost speechless when I read the poem you sent me. I re-read it so many times and started reading about Khalil Gibran's life too. His message about children is so much aligned with my thoughts too. I am very tempted to copy this in a new post right away, but I like to save it and write about mother-child's relationship in the future. So thank you thank you so much for bringing this masterpiece to my attention.

I know how much you would miss your parents on special days like Mother's Day. Please take care of yourself knowing they are watching over you from above.

Hi Bee,

Welcome and thank you for your nice words. Hehe, I have to agree with you that holding a bouquet is not his nicest pose. Sometimes, I'd rather they give him a book, cellphone, even a hammer is better than a bouquet! But I guess the advertisers must think women like flowers and they like it even more if the flowers come from a handome man like Yong Joon :) Stereotyping, eh?

Thank you for leaving me a comment. cheers .... jaime
