A tall order

Hi Hi ..... Boy, was it a treat for me yesterday, my two favorite Korean men were present under the same roof! How I wish I could be there to cheer for both of them!

Our handsome prince is appointed as the new Ambassador of Tourism 2010-2012. Isn't he the most dashing ambassador ever?

Ryu Si Won is the ambassador from 2006-2009, he received the Presidential Commendation award yesterday.
No, you two don't have to look over there anymore, I told you I can't make it in such a short notice! (hehe)

Now, certain media decided to put the same pose of the 2 of them side by side......

Ahhh well actually, I like Ryu Si Won's character in his drama 'Wedding'. He is spending most of his time in Japan now focusing on his singing career. NowUmmm hmmmm, I am sorry I play favourites here .... but my eyes are only starring at that most handsome Yong Joon ssi! Am I too sensitive, I haven't seen the 2 men interacted at all - nod, smile, shake hands? Eye contact? No?

Now seriously, a recent report has shown that in 2007, Korea has a disproportionately lower tourist growth (4.8%) than its Asian counterparts (10.4%). The Tourism industry is obviously hoping to use Yong Joon's international fame to draw in as many as 10 million tourists beginning with its 2010 campaign. Now, that's quite a tall order. Looks like Yong Joon's 'Beauty of Korea' photo guide book and Keyeast-MOU online travel partnership are all fitting very nicely into the grand scheme, eh? Well, we already know this man can work miracles that nobody else can. We know Yong Joon's family has always been very supportive of his endeavours. So dear sisters, save your travelling to Korea till 2010, ok? And don't forget to bring (or drag) your family, friends of friends, neighbours of neghbours, cousins of cousins too :) We have to support our handsome prince, right?

Thanks to liezle and many kind sisters for posting these pictures in soompi

Dear Jaime, BB and Bae sisters:
Now that Bae Yong Joon is the new ambassador of Korea for World Tourism 2010-2012, should he not need an ambassador's wife? He has to redefine the ideal Ambassador Bae's wife -- not just beautiful, intelligent, sensitive, but also proper, prudent, a good party hostess, with excellent media presence. And still someone he really loves and who loves him as much.
Those qualities are pretty difficult to find.
But the he queue is on the right side!

Hi Chinggu!

Ahh, I knew it! I really knew that you'll be in 7th, 8th & 9th heaven after seeing the 2 most important men in your life.

Ever wonder how your world will be whirling in circles when you get to see them UP CLOSE? heheheheh!

Thanx for posting the pics & take care!

Love, Judy

Hi Jaimie

I think all his family will save enough for a trip to korea in 2010-2012. Sure he can achieve the target of 10 million visitors with his incredible influential power and support from all his bae family out there. Is seem that he is having a busy and hectic life ahead with so many project ahead.

TQ & take care

Jenny

Hi Josephine,

I also hope his wife comprises of all the qualities that you enlisted. But with his many roles now, how does he find time to meet such woman? Hehe, I think he needs a special scouting agent for this lady :)

Hehe chinggu,

2 very different men, both talented in their own ways. but I haven't really followed RSW's news much. Just interesting that they were attending the same event :)

So, don't you think that I am distracted from HRH and let my guard down, ok?

Dear Jaime

I agree fully with your reply to Josephine. Really hope he will be able to find a beautiful soulmate who will cherish him.

He was reported to have said that he worries a lot abt the Travel Book. I really hope he wouldn't stress himself too much.

S'pore fan.

Me too, Jaime, immediately thought of you when BYJ and RSW appeared in the same frame.

I wondered too about the lack of visible interaction between the two men. Perhaps it happened off camera.

Have a great weekend!

hi S'pore fan,

yeah, I was wondering too why he has more difficuties in compiling this Korea guide book. I thought it would be pretty simple, snapping up a few pictures and add nice packaging.

I have a feeling it's more of a deadline issue. We know Yong Joon has this idea for a long time, so I don't think it's a matter of not knowing the concept and direction where this photo book is going.

1. There are probably bureaucracy involved in obtaining approval from the owners of these historical sites to shoot and maybe they will need time to research and add some writeup about the place.

2. With all the recent public duty and engagement of Yong Joon, he probably is feeling some stress and time shortage too as he has to personally take pictures of these places. Remember our prince does not like to be involved in more than 1 project at a time?

3. Then this book is supposed to be finished by end of the year. Soon winter arrives and Korea will be covered in snow, how to shoot the unqiue beauty of these places when everything is white?

4. Then of course, I think the thousands of fan suggestions are adding a whole lot more workloads to the staff. Please do not get me wrong, I think Yong Joon is so sincere and considerate to seek opinions of his family. I am sure his family has many wonderful suggestions, maybe they can consider delaying the publication date of the book. Hehe honestly, I think we are all willing to wait till next year. (hehe I personally just want to have a photo book of Yong Joon himself :)

Hehe sorry for bursting out my own guess, they can be so far from the truth. Thanks for leaving me a comment.

hi hi gosijo,

so nice to hear from you. am wondering that you must be busy busy, like our princess.

hehe, thanks for thinking about me when you saw the 2 guys together. I think u may be right, the press liked to compare but these 2 don't look like they will make great friends. They are too different in their personalities and interests.

I did come across a Chinese news article that RSW praised BYJ : "He is a perfect friend. He eagerly inquired about the role of a Tourism ambassador. I believe he can do very well." Hehe now, I doubt very much about the reliability of that source, so the possibility of RSW really said that is probably eh, 5%?? hahaha!

please take care!

Hi Jaime, yes I also thought of you with your main course and side dish showing up at the same function and actually sharing a title!

I'd love to see our YJ and KRW get together somehow -- I'd actually love to see them act in a drama together, that would be awesome!

2010?? Could be my year!! Can I come visit you in tokyo in the same trip????

love ya,
coco

hi hi chief,

believe it or not? I think last year, RSW has revealed in a Japanese TV show that he was actually offered a role in Winter Sonata. Cloudnine told me it's SanHyuk's role. RSW declined, I guess maybe because it's not the male lead role? Too bad, actually I have thought about RSW would be a perfect SanHyuk as he's taller and could play the perfect role of a small town boy, besides he would be more comparable to JunSang. Park Yong Ha is too short and average for Yujin, it's almost a no-brainer to choose MinHyung, hehe it's just my 2 cents 'or should i say 20 yen?' :)

is that your plan chief? 2010? sounds great to me, hope i'll still be here in tokyo, or even asia. at least that's the plan for now, but hehe it's not my call, u know. i also hope to visit korea again at least once before i return to canada, and this time ONLY BYJ spots, no more sightseeing! :) (hahaha, this is exactly NOT HRH wants)
